AI is being discussed left right and center and there is a growing sense that with technological advances, a parallel structure of ethical rules and guidelines is needed to provide a structure. Politicians in Germany call for an “ethical development of AI, based on European values”, but we are only at the start of the discussions of what this entails.

Meanwhile, AI developers in the ecosystem are looking for concrete guidance on what “ethical development of tech” entails. Through this event, we (meetu.ai, ML_in_Healthcare, Google) we want to bring together a diverse mix of audience (“big” developers of AI, start-ups, ethicists/NGOs, appropriate politicians) to explore the questions around ethics in very concrete terms and to help provide concrete guidance. Our speakers include Vince Madai (Charité and ML in Healthcare), Jen Gennai (Head of Responsible Innovation, Google).
