Sensorik Summerschool mediates essential basics of sensor technology in a user-oriented and practical way. Students and recent graduates gain in-depth insights into interdisciplinary contexts of modern sensor systems from different fields of application. In addition to interesting specialist lectures, company visits and exchange of experience are paramount. Thus, Sensorik Summerschool provides an opportunity to adopt knowhow specific to the start of a career gaining insights into development work of innovative companies as well as project management.

This year the Sensorik Summer School (16th to 20th September 2019) takes a look into our future. And, of course, artificial intelligence must not be missing here. The experts at Fraunhofer IIS in Erlangen will explain how and where intelligent sensors are already being used in medical technology, and especially in the future. Among the highlights of the Sensorik Summerschool 2019 is engeex GmbH. The young research team develops exoskeletons for the intralogistics and care sectors. At Bertrandt Technologie GmbH and in the laboratory of the Chair of Media Informatics at the University of Regensburg, participants experience virtual reality up close. The development project "Bionic RoboSkin" of Sensorik-Bayern GmbH shows how nature becomes a model for technology. In addition, the participants can take a look behind the scenes of internationally operating high-tech companies such as Continental Automotive GmbH or Gefasoft Automatisierungs- und Software GmbH. The Regensburg-based image processing specialist just moved into the brand-new company building on the TechCampus in March 2019. A guided tour through the TechBase, a visit to the Teisnach Technology Campus as well as specialist presentations by b-plus GmbH and Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH complete the multi-faceted program.
